Everyone Pays for Voter Apathy - Let Your Voice Be Heard

Who decides? You do.
Between 2010 and 2020 only 5 of the 20 races were contested. One race didn't even draw a candidate, thereby leaving the seat open for appointment.

Previous to the last election, Forrest Dennis, Susie Arreaga, Alvis Prince, and Thomas Ibis were not originally elected to the City Council. They were appointed. All volunteers willing to serve on Elgin's City Council are appreciated--more so if they're elected by the people who live here.

We support Community Policing

Kudos to the new leadership at The Elgin Police Department

After what many of us believe was a total failure on the part of our former Chief of Police, KUDOS!, to the new leadership at the Elgin Police Department for the effort they're making to embrace the tenants of community policing outlined by the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

Check out the EPD Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ElginPDTexas.

We have not forgotten the contributions of the dedicated officers who were terminated or forced to resign by the previous Chief of Police.
